Accessibility
How this site is built for assistive technology, the standard we aim at, and how to tell us when something does not work.
What we aim for
We build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA. That is the standard we test against; where we fall short of it, we want to know.
What we have done
- Text and background colours across the site are checked for contrast; body text on our background is well above the 4.5:1 minimum.
- Every product photograph carries alternative text describing the piece, not just its name.
- The site works from the keyboard alone: a skip link, visible focus outlines, and menus, accordions and the search drawer that open with Enter or Space and close with Escape.
- Headings run in order so a screen reader can move through a page by structure.
- Motion is decorative only. If your system is set to reduce motion, animations and the moving strip stop.
- Video is muted, plays only when visible and never carries information that is not also written on the page.
- Text reflows without a horizontal scrollbar down to a 320 px viewport and stays readable when zoomed to 200%.
Where we know we fall short
- Some product photographs are shot in low, warm light, so the difference between two close colours can be hard to see. Every colour is also written out in words on the product page.
- Parts of the checkout come from WooCommerce and are styled, but not rewritten, by us. If something there is unusable with your assistive technology, tell us and we will place the order for you by email.
Tell us
If any part of this site stops you doing what you came to do, email support@neurovai.shop with the page address and what happened. We answer within one business day, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 UK time, and we will give you another way to complete the order in the meantime.
